Where should carbon monoxide detectors be placed?

Category: Safety Supplies

Answer:

Carbon monoxide detectors should be positioned adjacent to your existing smoke detector. They should be placed on every level of your home and in every bedroom at least 15 ft from heat sources that burn fuel. They also should be positioned 10 ft from bathrooms, and at the top of the stairs to most basements. There are new dual smoke/carbon monoxide detectors that make protecting your home even easier.
