What is a D-SLR camera?

Category: Digital Cameras

D-SLR is an acronym that stands for digital single-lens reflex. D-SLR cameras are the preferred choice of professional photographers and photography enthusiasts alike. A D-SLR camera has several advantages that simple point and shoot cameras lack.

  • Low shutter lag – Better action shots
  • Interchangeable lenses
  • Large image sensors
  • Better quality digital images
  • Larger optical zoom
  • More accurate preview of frame
  • Better low light photography
  • Wide angle lenses

Some people prefer P&S cameras because they are small, portable, and inexpensive but they can’t really compete with the quality and functionality of
the D-SLR.
