What is duplex printing on a laser or ink printer?

Category: Office Supplies

Answer:

Duplex printing or double-sided printing is a unique feature on select laser and ink printers that allows a user to print on both sides of a page without having to re-feed the sheet. Most “duplex printing” capable printers have an automatic reversing document feeder that will feed a page, print it, and then quickly reverse it and start printing again. Higher volume printers may also have this capability but are manufactured with dual print engines that allow for simultaneously printing in one pass. Duplex printing can save on paper costs and will also reduce your carbon footprint.
