GSA is an acronym that stands for general services administration. It is a government agency that was created in 1949 to leverage the buying power of the federal government to secure goods and services that they need to operate. GSA’s mission is to use expertise to provide innovative solutions for our customers in support of their missions and by so doing foster an effective, sustainable, and transparent government for the American people. In other words, they get the best prices possible for products and services with approved vendors. Products like office supplies, computers, vehicles, and other necessary items that are needed to help the internal workings of the US government run smoothly. On 2/7/2010, Martha N. Johnson was appointed administrator of the GSA.
