Answer:
HDPE or High Density Polyethylene is a rigid, high density plastic that is used for a variety of products, many of which are recyclable. Most plastic manufacturers make use of HDPE because the resins used to create it are relatively inexpensive, impact resistant, chemical resistant, and offer excellent protection against moisture. They are often used create containers for products such as milk, water, household chemicals, detergents, cosmetics, and gasoline. You will often see #2 HDPE symbols on products that are able to be recycled. |
