What are linoleum floors made from?
|
Answer:
Linoleum is created from solidified linseed oil, which comes from the flax plant. Other ingredients that are added include: wood dust, limestone, and other resins. They are all mixed together and set over a canvas material. Mineral pigments deliver the rich colors. Some manufacturers add a high performance coating to increase the floor’s ability to resist scratches and scuffs, and to make clean-up easier. |
