A mobility scooter offers similar functionality to a power wheelchair except it is designed to look more like a motor scooter. A mobility scooter consists of a base with either 3 or 4 wheels, a battery pack, a seat, a steering tiller and any additional accessories that may be included with your scooter, such as a horn or a basket. Mobility scooters are typically used by disabled or elderly individuals to get around the house or even for a trip to the store. Many mobility scooters are designed to be transportable and can be disassembled and stored the trunk of a car. These are called travel scooters. |
