Does a home under construction require a home inspection?

Category: Real Estate

Answer:

Inspecting a home under construction is sometimes necessary for the buyer due to the different ways a builder or contractor may perform the construction. Sometimes a home builder will cut corners when performing certain tasks to save money for “their” bottom line or do things that are not in the best interest of the buyer. A good home inspector will be able to distinguish these shortcomings and report them to the buyer before construction is complete. This information is critical for a quality built home. Correcting these defects before the home is completed will ultimately save the home buyer from paying for any future repairs. Paying a home inspector for quality assurance is well worth the small fee it may cost.
