What is a carbon footprint?

Category: Energy & Fuel

Answer:

A carbon footprint is the assessment of how an individual’s daily activities effect the environment by measuring the amounts of greenhouse gases that are produced as a result of those activities. It is typically expressed in equivalent tons of carbon dioxide (CO2). Most experts suggest the most effective way to decrease a carbon footprint is to either decrease the frequency and usage of energy or to decrease our reliance on fuels that release carbon.
