What is bleed in printing?
|
Answer:
The term bleed is defined as anything outside the border of your document. Since most presses or copiers can not print off the edge of the paper, the document is printed on an over-sized sheet with the image extending beyond where the finished piece will be trimmed. Common practice is to allow for 1/8 (.125) of an inch, but this can vary depending on your printers specification and materials. |
