Marketing AutomationMarketing automation is a set of tools, processes, and/or software platforms used by businesses to automate and streamline the way sales leads are tracked and quantified. The goals of automation are to shorten the sales cycle, reduce costs, and increase actual product sales by better managing customer relationships. Many marketers use automation software to analyze customer data, monitor statistics, and record consumer-related trends. Still, other interactive marketers use marketing automation software to measure email open rates. They will then maximize email campaigns with frequent, and personalized, messaging. Marketing automation enables businesses to reach a larger, more receptive audience. By allowing businesses to be more efficient in the use of their marketing communications resources, automation gives marketers the ability focus on nurturing and cultivating leads that have a better chance of converting.
